Our practice is committed to providing the highest quality care for our patients. We offer personalized attention in a friendly, courteous environment. It is the philosophy is this office to provide up-to-date pharmacologic management of psychiatric illnesses. Dr. Jacobson spends many hours outside of the office educating other phsycians about updates in psychiatric treatment. He attends numerous weekend conferences, nighttime teleconferences, and evening lectures to stay up-to- date. In addition to this he is an avid reader of psychiatric journals and will often spend time online in the evening researching treatment options for those whose care is not straight forward. Dr. Jacobson, however, knows what his limits are and will refer you to another psychiatrist if necessary for a second opinion or if another provider is better-equipped to handle your needs (eg, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy for certain for of PTSD or in those rare instances when it is necessary to refer someone for electroshock therapy). Dr.Jacobson does only outpatient work.If you require hospitalization, you will be directed by this office in how and where to get admitted based on your needs and rescources available to you through your insurance plan. This office does not accept Title 19. Debbie can tell you if we are 'in plan' or 'out of plan' with your insurance company. We do accept Medicare consignment rates.
